Review:Skoda Yeti in India

Skoda launches its new Compact SUV in India which comes available in two variants - Ambiente and Elegance. As per the intial verdict of the Skoda Yeti, it got a stylish look and features for better Off-roading capability. The only negative found is its less value for money while compared to other SUV vehicles in india of the same segment.

Coming to the performance review of the Skoda Yeti, it come powered with a 4 cylinder 1968cc TDi Common Rail Diesel engine that produces a Maximum power of 140 Bhp @ 4200 rpm and Maximum torque of 320 Nm @ 1750 rpm. It offers a top-speed of 190 KMph and a fuel mileage of 17.0 kmpl in highway and 13.0 kmpl in city. Both the Skoda Yeti models in india comes witha 6 speed manual gear transmission.


As the design is considered, Skoda Yeti has got a confident and boxy, with a hint of large Panda 4x4 about its styling, which looks good. There is a huge space between the wheels and wheelarches suggesting plentiful axle articulation which inturn making a better vehicle for serious off-road driving. Other design features include large grille at the front, front foglamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, body Color bumpers, tachometer, adjustable tilt steering, ABS braking, leather seats, Xenon headlamps etc.

Skoda Yeti Variants

It comes available in two variants - Skoda Yeti elegance and Skoda Yeti ambiente. The main difference between elegance and ambiente is that Elegance has 6 airbags in comparison to 2 in ambiente variant and it has 12 speakers with music system in comparison to 8 in ambiente variant.

Skoda Yeti in available in six shades: Mato Brown, Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Corrida Red, Magic Black and Aqua Mist. The Skoda Yeti Ambiente is available for Rs. 15.40 lakhs and Skoda Yeti Elegance is available for Rs. 16.62 lakhs.
